2026-2027: Class 10 Program Information

Program Mission

The REAL Oregon Leadership Program brings together professionals from across Oregon’s agriculture, forestry, fisheries, and other natural resource industries for an immersive leadership experience. Over the course of five multi-day sessions, participants engage in professional development, expand their networks, and gain a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing Oregon’s natural resources.

Through hands-on learning, expert-led discussions, and site visits, participants learn from industry leaders, connect with peers over shared experiences, and tour operations such as timber harvest sites, agricultural processing plants, and fisheries facilities. The program fosters a diverse learning environment, bringing together leaders from different backgrounds, industries, and communities, all with a shared commitment to Oregon’s natural resources.

Program Objectives

• Strengthen personal leadership skills, build confidence, and deepen understanding of Oregon’s agriculture and natural resource sectors.
• Develop a statewide network of leaders prepared to take active roles in community, state, and national issues.
• Support the growth and sustainability of Oregon’s natural resource industries and rural communities.
• Build a network of informed, engaged, and motivated leaders dedicated to the future of Oregon.

Program Requirements

• Attendance at all five (5) program sessions is mandatory. Each session lasts three to four days. Graduation is contingent on full participation.
• A pre-selection interview may be required after the initial application is submitted.
• Applicants are evaluated based on individual merit, with preference given to those directly involved in production agriculture, forestry, and fisheries.
• Spouses, siblings, and relatives are welcome to apply but must participate in separate classes.

Tuition & Sponsorship

Program Cost: $2,500 for qualified producers; $3,500 for all other participants.

Sponsorships Available: The full cost of delivering the program exceeds $6,000 per participant. To keep tuition accessible, we invite businesses, organizations, and individuals to sponsor participants at the $5,000 level.
